men's corner: boat shoes...

so...the other day...a friend of mine was over...he picked up the gq magazine on my coffee table...casually flipping through it...and he comes across this picture... =/

other then loving the array of color...i personally...do not like boat shoes, top siders....whatever you want to call them...never have...never will...i'm wondering how clear i am being... =) so the thing is...i had (years ago) got my friend to sway away from them...his excitement...at the fact that they were now in gq magazine...touted as being "this spring's must-have accessories"...well...the teasing pursued...

as much as i do not evoke my personal taste on clients...with friends...well..it's different...right? so he challenged me to find the next best thing...and this is what i came up with...i have to say...he is pretty happy with his new shoes...and i am as well...because i won't need to see those boat shoes on his feet...
