last week i attended a lovely soiree at saks fifth avenue..."wine, women and shoes" the event title alone got my attention...the event was to feature the new choo 24:7 collection by jimmy choo...
this was no ordinary shopping experience...
first...and foremost...some of the proceeds of the sale were going to benefit children of shelters...
second...i would be surrounded by lovely shoes...
third... i would discover the fine art of wine and shoe pairing with the “shoemmeliers” from wine, women & shoes...
sounds like a win win win...no?
so...did i learn how the sauvignon blanc is paired with jimmy choo sling-backs? or why pinot gris is the perfect match for jimmy choo patent platforms? uh...no...not really...i was in utter awe of the shoes...
here are the clever little "cheese" cookies that made me swoon...
i met chad and john...their primary job was to walk around the room holding up silver trays of beautiful jimmy choo's...yes...i cannot tell a lie...
a charity event is not complete without a raffle or some sort of give-away...so there was this little bowl of keys...$20 got you one key...and of course...the proceeds go to charity...win win! there was one key...that would unlock the box...to...your very own pair of jimmy choo's...
i scoped the room...finding my two favorite pairs...here they are in all their glory...
and...
but...alas...my key did not work...and i left empty handed...with only thoughts of my two favorite jimmy choo's...and a tummy full of "cheese" cookies...
and a fun nite...meeting some lovely "jimmy choo loving women"

What a fantastic event! Since it was a bowl of keys, was there a consolation prize of being able to take one of the servers home instead?
ReplyDeleteI love your choices!
no consolation prize...and although the servers were cute...i really wanted a pair of shoes =)
ReplyDeleteobviously...we have the same taste in shoes!
What a delightful combo! Who knew that the elegance of Jimmy Choo could pair so perfectly with the comforting charm of cheese cookies? It’s like fashion and flavor coming together for a fabulous feast!
