fashion funnies: getting organized...

saw this comic strip in the sf chronicle a few weeks back...all about organizing...and how easy it is...

dad:  why is your room such a mess, luann?  i thought mom spent all day yesterday helping you get organized...

luann:  she did.  we sorted all my clothes by type - pants, shirts, dresses - then by season, then by color, hanging light on the left, dark on the right...

luann:  we put my undies in top drawers, tees midlevel and sweaters below...we hung my belts, scarves and jewelry on hooks, we lined up all my shoes from casual to dressy, we folded my - 

dad:  ok, i get it.  so why the mess?

luann:  'cuz getting organized is easy...staying organized is impossible...

fashion funnies: passing dress inspection...

this was in last sunday's san francisco chronicle...do you pass dress inspection?

gentleman is singing while getting dressed...

laaaah tee taaaaa...et voila!

gentleman sips coffee...buttons up shirt...

kisses the wife...

and...

wife:  wait!! you can't wear that shirt and suit together!  and where did you find that tie??!!

wife adjusts tie:  there...now you look presentable...

later in the office...

colleague:  john - you're a bit late for this meeting, aren't you?

john:  i know...i didn't pass dress inspection

daughter: i had a dream about quill last night. made me wonder if he's "the one." how do you know when you're in love, mom?

mom: love isn't an event. it's a process

daughter: ok. but how do you know who to spend your life with?

mom: life isn't one journey. it's many trips

daughter: meaning?

mom: what works today might break tomorrow

mom: life is like a pair of jeans. some work forever, others seem perfect but never quite fit. some are sturdy, others need a lot of care. some get too small, go out of style or just lose their appeal. some you get rid of then wish you hadn't, others you keep and wonder why

daughter: wow. you are just full of momisms today

mom: yeah, they're a lot easier than actual answers
