put a little"spring" in your step...

been craving a new spring shoe...so while perusing the j crew site for some spring yumminess...i came across a few that would be a perfect fit for spring...are you thinking of adding a little "spring" to your step?  

when it comes to spring shoes...do you expand on color and/or pattern?

beautiful day in the city today...lots of sun...lots of cute
summer dresses...capri's...shorts...

and at this point...if i could...i would want to insert the
screeching of tires...as was what was going through my
head...when one after the other...i saw adorable outfits...
till you looked at the shoes...and there...the outfit is...
well...down graded...

i say it over and over...shoes can make or break an
outfit...and if you are going to go all out...looking cute...
and even if your main thing is comfort...why why why...
as i saw today...would you opt for flip flops?  now there
is nothing wrong with flip flops...but i'm talking about just
your good ole rubber flip flop found at the dollar store...
you know the ones...one notch above what you get when
you go for a pedicure...

ladies...there are so many options out there...in every
possible heel size...open toe, closed toe, embellished...not embellished...striped...patterned...neutral...bright...anything
is better then those rubber flip flops...and yes...
it "breaks" your outfit...so...let's "make" your outfit...

what are the choices?  there are shoes you can find for your
summer wardrobe...that won't break the bank...will add a little
bit of spice to your outfit...and more then anything...make you
look like you half care what you put on your feet...

you had me at hello: perfect transitional sandal...

as i was perusing my september issue of california style...being a california girl and all...you know the drill...it takes one turn of a certain page...to get that "you had me at hello" feeling...and this one hit me only on the 10th or 11th page...

these would be...oh so perfect with so many of the clothes that i have...a perfect summer to fall transitional sandal...when it is fall...yet still warm enough for beautiful sandals...love all the colors...definately had me at hello...

summer sandals "gigi" style...

the thong style sandal seems to be all the rage...i've been eyeing the sam edelman "gigi"...it comes in SO many fabulous colors...beautiful fun solid summer colors...sure to brighten up any casual summer outfit...of course...my eye tends to land on the zebra print...although the leopard print is a good choice...or maybe the silver?

have any of my readers tried these? the description touts a "padded" insole...i'm thinking that would be needed...check out the gorgeous colors...which would you choose? sam edelman "gigi" on zappos...

men's corner: the "mandal"

ok...i don't know why...but i am not a big fan of sandals for men...apparently now being called the "mandal"...and even more...not a fan of birkenstock...but apparently it is all the rage now...reading an article in the ny times...news flash...even macho toes like to breathe...

as shown in the pic below...fashion shows are sporting them as well...this one from dsquared2 in milan...

so men...what do you wear for summer? do you bring your toes out of hiding? and if so...what is your comfort zone?

as i realize it is not all about me...and my hate err...dislike for sandals for men is not relevant...if you are going to go that route...a nicely manicured foot is still in order...just saying...
