slippers hugh hefner style...

while hugh hefner is known mostly for things i could really care less about...one thing that stands out...is his lounge look...silk robes and those slippers...call them smoking slippers...loafers...they are coming out with some great choices...studs...stripes...embellishments...while they have been out for a while now...i am still out hunting for the right pair...for me...

have you tried them yet?  are they part of your every day wear?  i know for sure i want a leopard print pair...which you would think would be easy...but i haven't spotted (no pun intended) any that speak to me...yet...

while perusing the internets...i came across this lovely pair...what a great addition to a spring wardrobe...don't you think?  i may just have to snag me a pair...while i was only planning on getting me one pair of hugh hefner like slippers...i just may change the number to two...or maybe three...

lavished at christmas time...

yes...i was lavished at christmas time...seems a lot of my friends are asking what i got...so i thought i would share with you my lovely gifts that i received that are "fashion" related...feel free to share yours as well...it may give someone a great gift idea for a birthday coming up...

as most of my readers & friends know...i love audrey...and...lucky me...got one more book to add to my collection...she is one classy lady...

my lovely niece got me this beautiful necklace...she knows her auntie...love the pearls...they go with everything!!

after a long nite in the hot boots...i can come home to this luxury...my younger brother's tradition...every year...a new pair of slippers...these are so lady like...no? every girl should have their favorite pair to slip into...only the best for you...

"little luxuries in a large box" so fun to open...each little luxury was individually wrapped...included in the big box among many beauty items...was a nail file with some bling bling :-) and these cute parisian pics...and...



if you recall i had posted the luxe list - luxury gifts for women...the question was "which would you choose?" and i of course was drooling over the chocolate trunk...a girl can dream...right?? i got this little gem...which actually i am thankful for...a little chocolate is all i need...5 pounds of chocolate, 350 pieces of rich ganache, and four tins of Aztec hot chocolate may be a bit much... =)



and then this precious gift...from my younger niece...it is not fashion related...but it was made by her in shop class...my beautiful new cutting board...made with love...by melissa...and as if this wasn't enough...



she engraved it...awww....love that girl!!

fuzzy slippers are a must for a pampered princess...your delicate feet must be protected from the elements at all times...encased in a froth of faux fur or puffy feathers...

for as far back as i can remember...my "little" brother (who is now over 6' tall) has given me a new pair of slippers every year for christmas...and to this day...i look forward to the "new" pair i am to receive...some have been leopard (can't go wrong there)...some have been very chic & parisian...some pink & fluffy...more than anything though...it is the fact that it is from him...and this has become a little christmas tradition...all together now...awww....

but i digress...for in-house use, i'll look the other way while you pass on the high heels, as there are many times in life when a girl needs to keep her feet firmly on the ground...and first thing in the morning is certainly one of them...slippers...at times...do seem so mundane...though...

is there a way to move them farther down luxury lane?? bien sur, as the french say...but of course...

not long ago, a friend bought me some purple felt spa booties that come with a liner of lavender seeds...pop them into the microwave for a minute or so...slip them onto your already lotioned feet...and ah...heaven...a bit crunchy to walk in...but the point here is not to walk so much as to recline regally...your pampered feet raised in the air and propped on a lovely footstool...sounds so decadent...and well worth it if you can track them down...

is there a way to feel this way without the spa booties? sure...just choose your thickest...most luxurious cotton socks...sprinkle them with a few drops of water to moisten...and pop them into the microwave...slather lotion on your feet while they are warming up...then pull the toasty socks on right away...alas...the warmth doesn't last long...but it feels delicious...
